Meet Jo, Founder and CEO
Growing up on Sing Sing Road in the small upstate New York Town of Horseheads, Joanna “Jo” Yaeger proclaimed from the age of four that she would sing for the rest of her life. At a young age Jo was composing poems that later blossomed into songs as she fell further in love with music. From this early time in her life she began performing for family and friends, as well as church events and school functions.
In late 2014 her dreams of moving to Nashville became a reality. She worked part time jobs while playing shows and writing as much as she could. In 2016 she took the leap of faith to pursue music full time quitting her last “real” part-time job. She continued booking her own shows around Nashville and surrounding areas.
That leap of faith paid off in the summer of 2016 when she caught the attention of Allegiant Entertainment Group. By late fall Allegiant signed her to a publishing and management deal as their flagship artist. In January of 2017 they recorded the first three songs of Jo’s debut, full length album and by early summer, 13 original songs were completed for the project. “Nowhere” is the first single release from the project and the accompanying acoustic music video is garnering world-wide play.
In December of 2017, Jo partnered with the Donelson Christian Academy high school choir to record a breathtaking version of the classic Christmas carol, “O Holy Night.” This video also received world wide play and accolades.
A special release close to Jo’s heart, “Dance in the Rain,” was released in 2018. A song of hope, it was co-written by Jo as a way to give encouragement through life’s twists and turns. No matter what life looks like, we can choose to embrace every moment!
In 2023 she launched “A Little Bit of Nashville” as founder and CEO. Her concept to deliver a close up personalized music experience is inspired by her small town roots and her love of people. She’s connected a bevy of incredibly talented artists and songwriters to this endeavor so that customers can experience more than just a little bit of Nashville.
Jo commands a stage with grace, poise, humor and wisdom beyond her years. Regardless of the venue, all within earshot leave impacted by the piercing lyrics, soaring vocals and powerful melodies that Jo brings time and again.
Everything but nothing has changed about that wide-eyed, four-year-old little girl dreaming of making it in music. Jo still sings at the top of her lungs and strives to change the world through the power of music.
